Tropicana Switching Back!

Anyone who was as outraged as I was when I saw the new redesign (right) of the Tropicana Orange Juice carton should be thrilled to know that they are switching back to the old (and superior) design in response to consumers' complaints. I didn't even realize till I read this article, that the orange on the new carton was orange juice in a glass. And how cheesy is that twist off cap that's made to look like an orange?

  1. Good move by switching back, but i think they should use the new cap, its a cute idea.

  2. You're wrong. The orange cap is awesome. But I agree that the new design is ugly- its very 70's.

  3. I don't think this is something you can be right or wrong about; it's an opinion.

  5. The new Tropicana design is horrid, I'm so glad they're switching it back.

  6. From a design perspective the new one wasn't half bad; the problem is that they had a GOOD brand identity and no reason to dissociate from it! A radical change like that is something you'd do after a scandal of some sort when you want to come clean. Instead, Tropicana had people missing the classic look.

I'm not too fond of the Pepsi redesign either.
